Since 1985, Vibro Industries, Inc. has been a premier manufacturer of Pneumatic Vibratory Transporters. These compact and rugged transporters, Model 250, 320, 450 and the 850, were originally manufactured to remove scrap from beneath press tools. Today, units are being used in other applications and have replaced conventional belt conveyors in many situations. Here are a few Vibro Product Applications where the Vibro Air-Operated Transporter is meeting the challenge:
Allsteel Company, Hazelton, PA
Allsteel is using the Vibro Air-Operated Transporter to solve a nagging inefficiency problem. When metal sheets were die cut, the extracted slugs would build up under the machine and require downtime for their removal. With a Vibro Air-Operated Transporter system in place now, testimonials from workers are impressive. The Transporter offers ease in set up and clean up and the production runs more smoothly now more than ever before.
Stanley-Vidmar, Allentown, PA
Stanley-Vidmar has installed the Vibro Air-Operated Transporter on a heavy stamper. They are using 4 trays on a progressive die set up to eliminate shut down and clean up time. The multiple trays (on a single transporter) has eliminated the need for 2 conventional conveyor belts. An hour and 30 minutes of production time has been gained through the use of the Vibro Air-Operated Transporter, eliminating intermittent down time to manually remove scrap. Stanley-Vidmar used the Model 320 to move 2 trays and the Model 450 (a weight capacity of 125 pounds) to move 4 trays. Stanley-Vidmar has added rollers to stabilize extra long trays to further customize their Vibro Air-Operated Transporter system in meeting their needs.
Harley-Davidson Inc., Milwaukee, WI
Harley-Davidson is using the Model 320 Vibro Air-Operated Transporter with 1 tray to speed up production on a single punching operation. Parts are removed from beneath the die so the operator keeps feeding the stock without stopping to remove finished parts.
Distex Industries, Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Distex Industries has uniquely adapted the Vibro Air-Operated Transporter for their needs. For quick die changes, the Vibro Air-Operated Transporter is mounted with 2 3/8 inch bolts. Their installation will handle up to 4 trays (in any position) on an adjustable rail secured with a wing nut. Extra long trays can be passed through the rails and rested on the bearing support which is removable for easy access to the die.
Whirlpool Corporation, Laverne, TN
Whirlpool has installed the newly released Model 850 Vibro Air Transporter. They have mounted it to a carriage frame, which can be removed with 2 toe pins for quick die changes. The oscillating motion carries scrap to a conveniently located container.
Diehl Dairy Company, Coalport, PA
Diehl Dairy uses the Model 450 Vibro Air-Operated Transporter to address a reoccurring packaging problem. The Transporter’s shifting motion is used to pre-settle 50 pound bags of dairy formula to ensure secure packing and shipping.
Vibro Worldwide
The Vibro Air-Operated Transporter has been installed and is operational in several European factories, including such companies as Bahco Tools, Sweden and Raufoos Ammunition, Norway.
